We are happy to announce integration with PayPal for payment-enabled forms! While we’ve had a lot of success with our Stripe-powered payments, many of our customers have been clamoring to use PayPal to provide additional payment options for their customer. We’ve been working closely with PayPal over the past few months in order to create powerful and intuitive features that will cater to our customers’ payment needs and integrate the number one payment processor in the world with our forms.
Low transaction charge
The transaction fee on PayPal is 2.9% plus 30 cents per successful charge, with no additional charges from Cognito Forms. Available to organizations on our Team and Enterprise plans, this new integration is one of the most cost-effective payment options out there.
Connect your account
Connecting your PayPal Business account with Cognito Forms is a quick, seamless process. First, create a new form, or go to an existing form that you wish to add payment to. Click the Payment button at the bottom of the page to open up the Payment Accounts dialog box, and select "Log In With PayPal" to either log in to your current account or sign up for a new one.
Buying and Selling
The process of buying and selling products on your forms is straightforward and simple. After connecting your PayPal account with Cognito Forms, the PayPal button will appear at the bottom of your form.
Clicking this button will automatically submit an entry and redirect the user to PayPal, where they can sign in (if they are not logged in already), review their payment information, and confirm their transaction. If the user doesn't have a PayPal account, they can select "Pay with Debit or Credit Card" and then click the "Don't have a PayPal account?" option to provide their shipping/billing information and complete their transaction.
Afterward, users can see the transaction details on the Summary page of their PayPal account. From here, they can review the payment information, or report a dispute if they need to.
As the seller, you can review the transaction from your form's entries page, and issue a refund if you wish.
